The developers will be keen to ensure the original fixtures and fittings, and the historical look of the properties, will remain at the forefront of the transformation. The buildings, which date to the early 1800s, will be re-imagined into a luxury hotel pegged to launch early in 2020.

Interior designers Bowler James Brindley have been appointed to look after the project, and bring the six townhouses into one. The designers say their company “reflects an English attitude of eccentricity, understatement, quirkiness, and inclusion”.
